Assassin's Creed Origins takes players on an epic journey through ancient Egypt during the Ptolemaic period, around 49-47 BCE. The game's vast open world encompasses diverse regions, from the lush Nile Delta and the bustling city of Alexandria to the harsh deserts of the Sahara and the majestic monuments of ancient Egypt, including the Great Pyramids of Giza.

The storyline revolves around Bayek's quest for revenge after a personal tragedy sets him on a path that ultimately leads to the birth of the Assassin Brotherhood. Players will explore the complex web of conspiracies and political intrigue that plagued ancient Egypt during the waning years of the Ptolemaic dynasty.
